It's your first time having your nucleic acid done, and you feel so
uncomfortable as the paramedics take a cotton swab and poke it deep into
your throat, but you just want it to be over quickly. Getting the
nucleic acid done is easier and faster than you thought. You grab your
bag, passport, and the outbreak entry instructions you filled out
earlier and head to the front desk of your hotel, where you finally get
your room card after a long wait.
One of the men in white led you and dozens of others in the
same situation as you into the elevator. You were assigned to different
single rooms. The hotel was spartan, and since it was a room
specifically provided for the isolation of returnees, there were only
the most basic amenities, and any other items had been temporarily
removed. You frowned as you put down your bag and looked down at your
phone, it had run out of battery and turned itself off. You were glad
you had talked to your family about your situation while you were
waiting for your nucleic acid and told them not to worry too much. You
feel very uncomfortable and want to go wash up, but you realize there is
nothing in the hotel, your luggage is still stranded at the airport, and
you only have your carry-on bag.
Your phone is dead and you are exhausted from not having any
luggage, so you soon fall into bed and fall asleep. You had a long, long
dream about how wonderful your life would be in China afterwards,
finishing your studies on time and spending time with your family. But
is that really the case?
1. Maybe, why?
2. Must be, why?
3. Not at all, why?
